Spring Cookie Bake at Renaissance Assisted Living and The Harbor at Renaissance to Benefit Tri-County Walk to End Alzheimer’s, April 15
STANARDSVILLE, Va. (April 11, 2016) – Renaissance Assisted Living of Greene County and the Harbor at Renaissance will host a Kick-Off Spring Cookie Bake on Friday, April 15, at 2 p.m. to raise money for the Tri-County Alzheimer's Association's “Walk to End Alzheimer’s”.
“We will have residents from Renaissance and The Harbor to taste and judge the cookies. We invite everyone to bring in their best cookie for the judges to taste,” Liesa Dodson, Marketing Director of Renaissance Assisted Living and The Harbor of Renaissance, said.
The entry fee is $5. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in the best taste category.
All proceeds will go towards the Tri-County “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” on Sept. 17. The Tri-County “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” goal is to raise $40,000. All proceeds will go to care, support, and research efforts for the Alzheimer’s Association.
“Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease. Every day we watch residents struggle to remember cherished memories and loved ones’ names. The emotional toll is great for both our residents and their families. We partner with The Alzheimer’s Association to find a cure for this devastating disease. Our prayer is that someday soon, Alzheimer’s will be a disease of the past,” said Dodson.
