(CLEVELAND, TN) Legacy Senior Living, which operates 15 assisted living and memory care communities spread throughout the Eastern United States, promoted David Riggs to the position of Director of Chaplain Services.

Riggs began his service in 2018 as Chaplain at Legacy Village in Cleveland, TN. Claiming this to be one of the best decisions he has made, Riggs was promoted to Co-Director of the Chaplaincy Program in 2022 where he became responsible for overseeing the well-being of 7 of Legacy’s chaplaincy programs. As Director, all 15 of Legacy’s Chaplains fall under his supervision and support, for which he will be responsible for the spiritual integrity and daily operations of Legacy's chaplaincy program.

“David has a remarkable heart of service and loves supporting our residents, team members, families, and facility chaplains,” said Bryan Cook, President and COO of Legacy Senior Living. Indeed, Riggs feels blessed to be able to invest in people at one of their most vulnerable stages in life, and he seeks to remind them daily that they are valued and treasured.

Riggs has been in ministry for over 50 years, serving in churches in Michigan, Colorado, Nebraska, and Tennessee. When he is not busy serving Legacy Senior Living’s community and his local community, Riggs and his wife, Barb, enjoy life with their two children, Melissa and Zach, and six grandchildren. Riggs also enjoys cycling, hiking, and going on walks with his wife.

Riggs believes that a person should find what they were made to do and do a lot of it. As Director of Chaplain Services, Riggs feels that he has found what he was created to do in life.
