The Harbor at Renaissance of Greene County to Host Monthly Alzheimer's Support Group, Starting April 2
Stanardsville, Va. (March 2025) — The Harbor at Renaissance of Greene County, a premier memory care community in Stanardsville, Va., will host a monthly Alzheimer’s support group, starting April 2nd at 10 a.m. The support group will take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. and will be led by Liesa Dodson, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Harbor.
The support group is open to the public and there is no requirement to RSVP for the event. Light refreshments and personalized tours of the community will be available.
"We are honored to provide a space for loved ones and caregivers who are experiencing this terrible disease firsthand. Our goal is to provide a comfortable environment for honest conversation and support that caregivers may need as they care for their loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer’s,” said Dodson.
Alongside the monthly support group, the community also offers complimentary one-on-one virtual meetings with the Director of Alzheimer’s Support, Dr. Ron Harvard. This is a unique, complimentary resource available to family members, team members and community partners who are navigating the pressures of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Dr. Ron Harvard has academic training and personal experience in supporting his spouse who suffered from Alzheimer’s.
